Copyright in the works

Under Vietnamese intellectual property law, economic rights in a work last for the author's lifetime and fifty years thereafter — until the end of 2059 in the case of Toan Ánh. Those rights passed to his heirs. Moral rights, including the right of attribution, are perpetual.

The NXB Trẻ agreement

In 2004 the writer signed an exclusive agreement with NXB Trẻ to publish the collected edition "Toan Ánh toàn tập". That agreement ran until 2015 and has since lapsed. This site publishes no work in full.

About the press archive

The archived press items are attributed summaries, not republications. Each links to the original article. Copyright in those articles remains with the publications that produced them.
